About
I'm a senior research engineer at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, where I develop autonomous underwater vehicles and oceanographic systems.
My current research focuses on applied machine learning for ocean observation:
- • Developing deep learning models for coastal forecasting that downscale global model outputs into high-resolution local predictions using residual correction methods trained on decades of instrument data.
- • Developing low-cost sensor systems that enable dense coastal observation networks with enhanced data products for ML-driven forecasting.
I studied Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering at the University of Michigan.
